de senectute Dear Rose,…. (de senectute / on age) this could be a film-title or the beginning of a letter wrote by an elderly lady to her friend, Rose. Talking about becoming older, old even. Facing the end of life, but still there, straight up (or not), with dignity, showing her weekness and fragility. Still so elegant and beautiful, there is just nothing to hide. A hymn to beauty and age. At the same time I’d like to pay my tribute to great old men in literature and history : Norberto Bobbio, who held a remarkable lecture « de senectute / on age » in 2004 at the University of Sassari in Sardegna, and to Marcus Tullius Cicero who wrote « Cato Maior de Senectute » in 44 BC. Printed on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag archival paper with Epson Ultrachrome inks. Actual size : 15/20 cm on 21/30 cm paper. A selection of 34 pictures out of a lot , realized between 2005 and 2012.
